 ALTRO VILLA CANESTRARI - MUSEO DEL VINO
PRESENTAZIONE:
"Villa Canestrari" che ha sede in Colognola ai Colli, è in realtà il risultato della fusione delle due aziende di famiglia, Bonuzzi e Franchi che hanno prodotto e commercializzato vini dai primi del secolo scorso.
La realizzazione di questo Museo è stata voluta oltre che per testimoniare il lavoro di vignaioli di ben quattro generazioni, anche per trasmettere ai giovani che vorranno visitarlo, quanto era faticoso, eppure sempre affascinante, il lavoro dei nonni e bisnonni; i più anziani potranno provare invece un po' di nostalgia nel rivedere macchinari e attrezzature che risalgono ai pionieri del nostro lavoro, alle prime elementari meccanizzazioni.
Il percorso del museo si sviluppa in cinque stanze: la più vasta raccoglie una serie di attrezzi che risalgono agli inizi del Novecento: c'è una sezione che riguarda la vigna, gli strumenti per l'appassimento dell'uva, filtri di vario tipo e macchinari per l'imbottigliamento.
In un altro locale si può vedere la " ricostruzione" di un ufficio degli anni Venti del secolo scorso, dove sono esposte macchine per ufficio e vecchi libri mastri su cui si teneva la contabilità. Una " chicca " il quaderno di appunti di enologia, datato 1886, appartenuto a Carlo Bonuzzi che in quegli anni frequentava la Regia scuola di enologia di Conegliano. Una scala porta nella cantina sotterranea in via di sistemazione, con volte in pietra. E' stato poi ricostruito un laboratorio per le analisi del vino, dove, in una ambientazione suggestiva, sono esposte apparecchiature d'epoca.
Nel "granaio" dove un tempo si mettevano ad appassire le uve per i Recioti, è stato realizzato un ampio salone dove da gennaio si terranno corsi di degustazione e serate a tema che hanno l'obiettivo di approfondire le tematiche del vino imparando a riconoscerne sapori, profumi, retrogusto e abbinamenti con i cibi.
Il museo è anche Fattoria Didattica, quindi una particolare accoglienza sarà dedicata alle scuole.

This Museum was created not only as a witness to the accomplishments of growers spanning no less than four generations, but also to show young people something of the arduous, yet always colourful working life carried on by our grandparents and great-grandparents; older visitors, on the other hand, may experience a little nostalgia on recognizing items of machinery and equipment that date back to the pioneering years of what is now an industry: the first steps in the process of mechanization.
The tour of the museum takes in five rooms: the biggest houses a number of implements dating back to the beginning of the 20th century: besides a section dedicated to the vine, there are structures for drying and raisining grapes, filters of various kinds, and bottling machines.
Another room presents a "reconstruction" of an office in the 1920s, where visitors can see business machines of the period, and old ledgers in which the accounts were kept.
A special nugget is the exercise book containing notes on wine and wine-making, dated 1886 and kept by Carlo Bonuzzi, who at the time was attending the Royal School of Viticulture and Oenology in Conegliano. Stairs lead down to the underground cellar, currently being restored, which has stone vaulted ceilings.
There is also a reconstructed wine analysis laboratory, where original items of equipment are displayed in an evocative setting.
The old "grain loft”, where grapes for making Recioto wines used to be dried, has been converted into a conference hall and classroom, where from January onwards there will be wine-tasting courses and themed evenings, of which the purpose is to discuss the many aspects of wine, learning about flavours, scents, aftertastes and food pairings.
The museum is also an Educational Centre, and accordingly, a special welcome will be given to schools.
