Amarone Doc Classico "Vigneti Vallata di Marano" Giuseppe Campagnola
Grapes Corvina e Corvinone Veronese 60%, Rondinella 40%. Best situated hilly vineyards (150-300 mt o.s.l.) of Marano di Valpolicella area. Vinification Hand selected grapes in September. Grapes are laid down in either racks or mats, then kept drying until February. Average yeld 40 liters of Amarone wine for 100 Kg of fresh grapes. Cellars Ageing: 30% of the wine was maturated for 15 months in 225-liter Allier oak barrels, and 70% for 24 months in traditional oak (50hl). Store correctly it may be aged in the bottle for 10 years Characteristic Intense red garnet color. Fine ethereal, fragrant bouquet. Dry full complex and velvet smooth. Rich superb noble warm on palate with aftertaste of green almond. Food suggestions To match with game (pheasant, duck, quail), roasted pig meat. Perfect with hard cheeses from Veneto, for example very old Monte Veronese. To uncork a hour before serving, at the temperature of 18-20°C. Vintage 2003 Special Campagnola's Centenary Selection. Limited production of 15.000 bottles.
