The self-guided format allows you to explore each day at your own pace, using navigation routes provided by Itinera Bike & Travel.
Day 1: Arrival in Verona
The journey begins with your arrival in Verona, an elegant city rich in history and culture, known worldwide for its Roman heritage and artistic events. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the organizers, get fitted for your bike, and familiarize yourself with the routes for the next days. Overnight accommodation with breakfast allows you to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Valpolicella Classica – Wine and Landscape
The second day is dedicated to the famous Valpolicella Classica, the historic area where Valpolicella and Amarone wines are produced. Leaving Verona behind, you’ll cycle through orderly vineyards, old farmhouses, and Venetian villas until you reach a prestigious local winery. Here, you can taste wines directly from the producers and learn about the connection between the land and the flavors.
The approximately 50 km route through countryside and hilly roads offers stunning views and an authentic immersion in Verona’s wine culture.
Day 3: Soave and Bardolino – Exploring Other Terroirs
On the third day, you’ll head east toward the Soave area, another historic wine-producing region famous for its crisp white wines. Cycling through lush hills, you’ll reach a local winery set in the heart of nature for a tasting of DOC wines from this area.
The day continues west along the shores of Lake Garda to the vineyards of Bardolino, another gem of Verona’s wine culture. Here, another tasting allows you to savor the region’s flavors before returning to Verona.
