Trattoria Alla Porchetta

THE TASTE OF TRADITION

Our trattoria was established around the 1940s when grandfather Franco Righetti, inspired by some Roman friends, had the idea of making porchetta, which was cooked here in San Peretto by some neighbours who owned a wood-fired oven. Since then we have always been known for the famous ‘porchetta alla romana’.

Our trattoria was established around the 1940s when grandfather Franco Righetti, inspired by some Roman friends, had the idea of making porchetta, which was cooked here in San Peretto by some neighbours who owned a wood-fired oven. Since then we have always been known for the famous ‘porchetta alla romana’, which we also sold at markets in the surrounding villages. Over the years, the children also became involved in the profession, some in production (charcuterie adjacent to the restaurant) and others in sales.

Over time, the restaurant, known as a refreshment point for many people passing through, has expanded in the kitchen to become the trattoria it is today. Nadia and Serena take care of the management of the dining room while Luciano does his best to prepare the dishes and cook the meat in the characteristic fireplace located in the dining room, and finally Ilaria delights us with her delicious desserts.

The wine list offers a complete overview of local and other wines.
